Wandsworth takes Gold in the 2024 LYG Squash Tournament

In the final of the London Youth Games squash event, held at the Cumberland Club on the 26th May, sixteen London boroughs competed in the first squash competition to be included in the games since 2019, the borough of Wandsworth took the gold, with the Camden team taking Silver as runners-up, and Merton in third place taking Bronze.

In all, sixteen boroughs took part, divided into four groups of four:

U17 MIXED Squash Merton
U17 MIXED Squash Bromley
U17 MIXED Squash Richmond upon Thames
U17 MIXED Squash Waltham Forest

Group B
U17 MIXED Squash Westminster
U17 MIXED Squash Redbridge
U17 MIXED Squash Haringey
U17 MIXED Squash Hillingdon

Group C
U17 MIXED Squash Wandsworth
U17 MIXED Squash Camden
U17 MIXED Squash Harrow
U17 MIXED Squash Kingston upon Thames

Group D
U17 MIXED Squash Kensington and Chelsea
U17 MIXED Squash Sutton
U17 MIXED Squash Barnet
U17 MIXED Squash Greenwich

The top two teams in each group went into a quarter-final, with Wandsworth eventually overcoming Camden in the final and Merton overcoming Kensington and Chelsea to take third place, in the teams' sixth match of the day.
